SanityLesson 4 – Principle & Step:

Principle 2:  Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.  Happy are the those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.  Matthew 5:4

Step 2:  We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.  For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose.  Philippians 2:13

Lesson 4 – Highlights:

  • Strength: Jesus gives us strength to face the fear that use to make us freeze, fight, or flee.

Insanity has been defined as “doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results each time.”

  • Acceptance: We learn to have realistic expectations of ourselves and others.
  • New life: We get a second chance and do not have to live by our OLD ways any longer.
  • Integrity: We learn to follow through on our promises fostering trust from others.
  • Trust: We begin to trust relationships with others and Jesus Christ.
  • Your Higher Power, Jesus Christ, loves you just the way you are. No matter what you have done God wants to forgive you!
